“Advertising” used to be limited to a small number of attorneys. Now every attorney who has a website, Facebook page, LinkedIn profile, or even can find themselves with a Google search is subject to the advertising rules. Hear from a member of the attorneys’ advertising commission how to comply with the new rules.
Emerging Ethics Issues in Kentucky and the 2016 Rules Changes
The last 18 months have brought about a sea change in the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct. Past KBA president Tom Rouse, a principal author of those revisions, will discuss how the new rules may affect your practice, and will give a preview of other emerging ethical issues in Kentucky.

How Far Can You Go? Common Pre-Trial Ethical Issues
Professor Bill Fortune is the chair of the KBA ethics committee and a recognized authority on attorney ethics. Professor Fortune’s presentation will focus on common ethical issues that confront trial lawyers, including contacting unrepresented parties and witnesses, dealings with employees of corporate parties, and how to properly react to unauthorized disclosure of documents.
